The Werlatone RF directional coupler model C3908 is a connectorized dual-directional coupler designed for high-power RF monitoring and reflectometer applications. It operates over a broad frequency range from 80 to 1000 MHz, with nominal 50 dB coupling. The coupler is rated for up to 1500 W continuous-wave (CW) power. It features very low insertion loss — 0.1 dB maximum — and tight coupling flatness of ± 0.3 dB. The unit’s VSWR on the main line is 1.20:1 (max), and directivity is at least 20 dB. Physically, the coupler measures 3.0 × 3.0 × 1.09 inches and is available with a variety of mainline and coupled-port connector configurations (e.g. N-type, SMA, BNC, 7/16, depending on the suffix version). The rugged aluminum 6061-T6 body with chemical-film finish meets typical requirements for military, EMC/EMI testing, and commercial communications environments. This makes the C3908 well suited for simultaneous measurement of forward and reverse power, system monitoring, and reflectometer-based diagnostics in high-power RF systems.
